A New Means to Publish and Discover Your Geodata
by Philippe Duchesne, ERDAS Software Engineer
In our mission to build the new ERDAS APOLLO catalog for the last release, the team was faced with some challenging requirements. The cataloging engine needs to be able to handle massive amounts of data while providing a very precise level of security for the data, and it needs to have extensible interfaces so it can mesh with other applications....

Geoprocessing directly from the ERDAS TITAN Viewer
Amy Zeller
Users may now connect to ERDAS APOLLO Catalogs via the ERDAS TITAN Viewer to execute geoprocesses and visualize results in a 3D virtual globe. This Fall ERDAS will provide geoprocessing as an end-to-end workflow consisting of three main elements: ERDAS IMAGINE provides a rich set of geospatial processes (called spatial models) Enterprise customers use ERDAS IMAGINE to publish custom models to ERDAS APOLLO using a WPS compliant interface Users may execute WPS from 2D web clients like the ERDAS APOLLO Web Client (2D), and the ERDAS TITAN Viewer 3D virtual globe This video demonstrates using the TITAN Viewer to discover processes, add inputs, execute the process and visualize outputs in a 3D globe....
